Burlesque 201+ is a creative Incubator for Burlesque Performers Ready to Level Up

You've already stepped into the spotlight and you're ready for more! If you've created at least one solo act and are craving space to be creatively challenged, deeply supported, and held deliciously accountable… this series is for you.

More than a class, this is a guided creation lab.

Over the course of this 12-week series, you'll be supported through every stage of turning your concept into an unforgettable new act.

Luna Phaze

Hailing from the sexy side of the moon, Luna Phaze mystifies audiences wherever she goes. Luna has always had a passion for self-improvement and building confidence from within. She takes her position as High Priestess of Fluff very seriously.

She loves to help performers tap into their inner confidence, overcome self-doubt and find their personal brand of shine. Luna does her best to lift each student up, encourage and support them throughout their time at BodyMagick Temple and beyond.

Luna has been a featured performer at the Enchanted Forest Music Festival, Burning Man and many saucy stages across Portland and beyond. With her Classic glamorous style and sexy sass, she’ll leave you wanting more!

Our schedule includes Work Weeks when we don't meet as a group, so that you have time to put the feedback into action, and to schedule private sessions.

Small Group Size

Series is capped at 6 participants to ensure personal attention and support at every group meeting and in your individual sessions with your instructor. Group meetings include feedback from all series participants, so you have many perspectives to draw from.
1:1 Sessions with Instructor

1 Pre-Series Meeting to refine and finalize your act before the series begins (conducted via Zoom or phone). Then two 1:1 sessions to Workshop your act as the series progresses.

If you want just The Spotlight Vault (not the entire BodyMagick Online Classroom) the lowest available price for this is with this checkout. The Spotlight Vault includes hours of 60-minute Burlesque movement classes and Workshop Library of choreography and technique videos, including boa, chair tease, fan dancing and choreographies with step-by-step breakdowns.

Timing:

You will receive access to the online classroom upon registration so that you may begin preparing. The first portion of each group meeting is dedicated to act Q&A. As time allows, we will play with mini choreographies and performance skills.

Below is a sample course flow -- the exact schedule for each series is sent upon registration. Please contact Eva at info(at)bodymagicktemple.com if you desire the schedule before registering.

Meetings are in-person Mondays at BodyMagick Temple, Southeast Portland, OR, 7-9:00pm PT. Please bring water and any supplies you need for each meeting, such as notebook and pen, costume pieces/props, your creativity and a willingness to grow creatively.

Performing:

When you complete the series you're eligible to perform in a BodyMagick Temple Showcase in Portland, OR.

Our Showcases are paid performances. All performers receive a share of the door, stage video and professional photos.

If you're unable to perform on the date intended for this series, you may perform in another Showcase as long as you complete all coursework, including 1:1 Workshopping sessions.
